Cousin Barb was kind enough to email me and I called Sandy, I last saw June at Charlie's funeral that I attended with Barb and chatted with her and Helen and Nancy and Uncle Ken. She was so kind to my mom in the early years when Sandy and I were little, lots of stories Mom related about staying with them. I hope FAMILY can try to all connect other than times of loss like this. Prayers and thoughts with everyone who knew her...GOD BLESS>

June was such a special person in my life that her passing leaves a whole that can never be filled. There's just no one else like her in this world. She took me in and treated me like a 2nd Mother and I've thought of her that way for 37 years. We stayed up until the early hours of the morning for years talking about anything and everything under the sun. She set the standard I base every moral decision on I have to make, the rock of our family, even the cook who I compare everyone elses fried chicken and mashed potatoes to. June was some lady! God I miss her.

I am sorry to hear that Aunt June has passed away. Too bad the family wasn't told and had to find out by accident in a newspaper.

Condolences go out to June's family at this difficult time. Charlie and June were my great uncle and aunt, and although we didn't keep in touch like we used to, I have great memories of them both from my childhood. I hope the family can now draw on their memories to get them through this time. June always treated us nice as kids and I will remember her fondly.

Granddaughter of Viola McLeish Wood,
Barbara
